The Law of Triviality. Briefly stated, it means that the time spent on any item of the agenda will be in inverse proportion to the sum involved.


Write it down

When you refer to a document make sure you have the document in front of each meeting participant. Don’t rely on just reading the document to the attendees since many of us are more visual than oral. This is particularly important for virtual meetings (over the phone or computer).
